Basil is a hand reared conure, loves attention and is a good little talker, he used to have a nasty habit of saying the odd swear word, however he hasn't done so thankfully for years.

He is a highly entertaining bird due to his friendly nature and characteristics.

Jack is a tame white pigeon he was again hand-reared and has spent most of his life with me.. this includes trips to the local shops and super markets where now most people know his name.

Newest addition to the team, ‘H’ loves being around people and is already proving to be an exceptional flying bird.

Kim is just in training, she is a hand reared bird and is very attention seeking!

She also has a love of bathing and sits waiting each morning in anticipation for her daily bath to be provided.

Lou - Harris Hawk

Lou is a 3 year old Harris Hawk; he is a proficient hunting hawk but is also used for hawk walks at Swinton.

We are hoping to breed from him this year so he is currently having some time off whilst in a breeding program.

Arry is a two year old Harris Hawk. He loves demonstration is flying abilities in front of large audiences.

Tommy is a fantastic Hawk Walk bird.

He loves flying in the open park land at Swinton and is a very valuable addition to the team.

Simba is 2 years old and currently in training we are hoping to use him for shows and corporate events.

Mika is the youngest member of the team, she has been hand reared by me from around a week old and therefore is very sociable.

Owls are naturally a highly strung species so  hand rearing is important to ensure they are calm around people.

Aries is used for hunting days as he is very talented at hunting rabbits, he was the first hawk I owned and he has a special attachment to me.

Kate is a rescue bird, she was found as a chick drowning in a canal, and she was rescued and brought to me.

In order to keep her alive she had to be hand reared and is now so friendly and relies on humans so much she couldn't be re-released. She is however flown free by us every day.

Phantom is 2 years old. In the wild snowy owls can with stand temperatures of as cold as -70ºC

Ellie is a seven year old Eagle Owl, the European eagle owl is the largest of the eagle owl species, this makes her an impressive as she flies over your head and to your gloved fist.

Chica

Before I got Chica she had frost bite in her wings, this has meant she now finds it very difficult to fly but I am hoping to breed from her to keep her active.

She is the partner for Lou the Harris Hawk so fingers crossed for some babies running around later in the year.

Sandy was also hand reared by me from a chick, she loves being around children and has done several shows and talks for schools, scout groups and young farmer's club.

Lilly is a hand reared female kestrel. The kestrel falcon is the only bird of prey with the true ability to hover.

Mikey was originally bred in Ireland and was shipped over as a youngster. He is a very impressive and reliable member of the team.

Gwenivere was bought as a female! However we later discovered her to be a male hence the unusual choice of name.

He is housed at Swinton with his mate Tikko.

Ollie is a perfect mate for Ellie, they have been together for two years but unfortunately have had no breeding success.
